Ontario has issued 611 Canada immigration invitations to technology and healthcare candidates in a new draw through the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP).

The January 31 draw saw through the province’s Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker required a minimum score of 53 points on Ontario’s Expression of Interest system.

The following occupations were targeted:

  1. NOC 20012 – Computer and information systems managers
  2. NOC 21211 – Data Scientists
  3. NOC 21223 – Database analysts and data administrators
  4. NOC 21230 – Computer systems developers and programmers
  5. NOC 21231 – Software engineers and designers
  6. NOC 21232 – Software developers and programmers
  7. NOC 21233 – Web designers
  8. NOC 21234 – Web developers and programmers
  9. NOC 21311 – Computer engineers (except software engineers and designers
  10. NOC 22221 – User support technicians
  11. NOC 22222 – Information systems testing technicians
  12. NOC 30010 – Managers in healthcare
  13. NOC 31100 – Specialists in clinical and laboratory medicine
  14. NOC 31101 – Specialists in surgery
  15. NOC 31102 – General practitioners and family physicians
  16. NOC 31103 – Veterinarians
  17. NOC 31110 – Dentists
  18. NOC 31111 – Optometrists
  19. NOC 31112 – Audiologists and speech-language pathologists
  20. NOC 31120 – Pharmacists
  21. NOC 31121 – Dietitians and nutritionists
  22. NOC 31201 – Chiropractors
  23. NOC 31202 – Physiotherapists

Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream Eligibility Requirements

To qualify under this stream, applicants must have the following:

  • A permanent and full-time job offer under NOC TEER category 1, 2 or 3 that meets the median wage levels for Ontario, and in a position that is necessary to the business;
    • For those already working in the position, the proposed wage must be equal to or greater than the current wage being paid
  • Two cumulative years of relevant work experience in the previous five years before the date of application;
  • Relevant mandatory licensing in Ontario, if the position so requires;
  • Live abroad, or be working, studying or visiting Canada on a valid permit;
  • Intention to settle in Ontario.
