Japan to scale back Olympic torch relay: Fukushima official

TOKYO (Reuters) – The Olympic flame, which flew to Japan last week from Greece, will be carried not by relay runners, but in a lantern in a scaled-down flame display event starting on Thursday from northern Japan’s Fukushima prefecture, a local government official said.
